2001 BENTLEY ARNAGE RED LABEL SALOON #SCBLC31E71CX06174. (Stock #3909.) The Arnage was the luxury sedan offering from Bentley from 1998 through 2009. At a cost new of more than $200,000, the car could justly be expected to be a fabulously luxurious carriage with impressive performance. With its 400 horsepower, 6.75 litre, turbocharged Rolls-Royce engine producing 619 ft. lbs. of torque, the level of performance is most impressive, capable of propelling the 3-ton car to 60 mph in fewer than 6 seconds. Our car can almost pass as a new car with its lustrous and unmarked body finished in Mason’s black with beautiful parchment leather coddling the occupants and gorgeous burl walnut trim surrounding the front and rear cabins (even covering the interior of the doors, a rare but available option.) The car was sold new to a Holmdel resident who kept the car either there or in Palm Beach, depending on the season. Following 10 years of original ownership and 30,000 miles of driving, the car was sold to one of our local (Stockton) enthusiast-customers who, following 2 years and 2,000 miles of careful occasional use, traded the car in to us on a magnificent1951 Ford Country Squire “woody wagon.” We then sold the car to another repeat customer, this time in Rancho Mirage, California. He kept the car garaged with his Bentley Continental GTC (“Big Ben” and “Little Ben” to which the pair were affectionately referred ) and enjoyed the car until his untimely passing at which the car has now returned to us. Still accompanied by all original manuals, original tool kit complete with appropriate original white gloves, two extra sets of keys and fobs and a custom- fitted cover, the car remains in spectacular original condition with just 38,892 miles. $48,500.
