2011 CORVETTE Z0-6 COUPE #1G1YL2DE385101639. (Stock #3786.) The top-of- the-line Corvette was badged the Z0-6 and was very different than the standard Corvette. The car is loaded with Carbon Fiber, its body is 3.3 inches wider than that of the normal Corvette, and there is a major difference in performance. The standard Corvette for 2011 is by no means to be considered sluggish. But the ZO-6 was the fastest production Corvette made to date and its performance is staggering. Its 0-60 acceleration time of 3.6 seconds and its top speed of 198 miles per hour tell the story. The ZO-6’s 7 litre V-8 engine contains titanium connecting rods and intake valves, has a 7000 rpm red line and an 8 quart capacity dry sump oil system. The chassis of the ZO-6 is of aluminum as opposed to the heavier steel chassis of the standard Corvette; it was built with a stronger transmission and rear axle than the standard Corvette and was available with the expensive option of ceramic brakes which are most impressive under hard braking and help control the immense performance of this car. For those seeking the ultimate ZO-6, the “ZO-7” package was offered. Our car is equipped with this package as well as the ceramic brakes and a plethora of other options. Finished in unmarked and gorgeous Sonic Blue Metallic with Graphite leather, the car is virtually as new. It comes from a local (Montclair) enthusiast’s carriage house, traded-in to us on a Ferrari. 18,092 miles. $56,500.
