1978 FIAT 124 PININ FARINA “2000” SPIDER #124CS10138447. (Stock #3816.) The Fiat 124 Spider was introduced at the Turin Auto Show in 1966. With a gorgeous design by Pininfaria, the car made a very positive impression on the automotive world and was to be built for almost 20 years. Originally powered by a 1,483 cc, twin cam, 4- cylinder engine with a 5-speed manual transmission, displacement was later increased to 2 litres and the car became quite peppy. Our car was sold new to a woman in Arizona who treasured the car for the almost 20 years before selling the car, then with mileage just over 40,000, to a local (New Vernon) enthusiast who has continued the careful upkeep of the car, keeping it in his climate-controlled garage to be enjoyed on the local roads only in ideal weather conditions and never in winter. The original red body is in fabulous condition with just one small blemish to the top of the left rear corner. The interior looks as if it is new and is gorgeous in tan with a slightly darker piping. The car drives wonderfully and is accompanied by its original manuals and tools and full history since new. 51,415 miles.
