2006 MERCEDES-BENZ CLS-500 “COUPE SEDAN” #WDDDJ75X76A064722. (Stock #3834.) The fabulous CLS design was introduced as a “concept car” at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2004 and was an immediate sensation with the crowds and the motoring press. As a result, Mercedes-Benz developed their concept car into a production car with the interesting but fitting “4-door coupe” nomenclature. The production car was equipped with a 5-litre V-8 engine and 7-speed automatic transmission and was plastic-clad underneath for improved high-speed stability and a quieter cabin. We purchased our example from a most fastidious local (Bedminster) owner. Finished in gorgeous Capri Blue with almost-flawless Parchment leather (with multi-contour “climatized” front seats, optional polished walnut cabin trim and gear-shift knob, the car is fitted with factory 5-spoke alloy wheels. Niceties such as electric rear window roller blind, dual-zone front air conditioning controls and rear air conditioning with separate controls, factory navigation system, rain-sensing wipers, MP-3 capable premium Harmon Kardon stereo system with stacking remote CD player, bi-xenon headlamps with electric cleaning system, front and rear fog lamps, front cornering lights, sliding and tilting glass sunroof all combine with the car’s fabulous design and comfort to result in a fabulous driving experience. The car has been serviced “by the book” and can almost pass as new. 100,227 miles. $14,900.
