1998 BMW Z-3 “2.8” ROADSTER #4USCJ3328WLC10200. (Stock #3856.) From 1998 through 2000, BMW built a higher-performance version of their acclaimed Z-3 roadster. The standard car came with a 1.9 litre engine with a 138 horsepower engine which provided adequate power. But with the 2.8 litre, 4-valve per cylinder engine, horsepower was increased to 193 and was reflected in stronger performance figures of 0-60 mph in 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 140 mph. Cosmetically, the 2.8 came with rear fender flares, wider wheels, ventilated 4-wheel power disc brakes, ASC traction control, etc. and had a great look. Our car was sold new as a Christmas gift on December 23, 1997 to a local (Chester) customer who babied the car for three years and 14,624 miles. We then sold the car, once again as a gift, to a local (Oldwick) woman who sent the car to the family enclave in Vero Beach Florida where it continued to be lovingly kept and was driven an average of 1,500 miles per year for the next 18 years. The car was specially ordered in yellow with black leather piped in yellow and a black power convertible top. The car was also ordered with both the “Premium” and “Exclusive” Packages so is heavily-optioned. 100% original and near-new throughout. 41,629 miles. $13,000.
