2000 MERCEDES-BENZ CLK-430 4-PASSENGER CABRIOLET #WDBLK70G6YT028228. (Stock #3912.) The CLK cabriolet is an impressive car—a full 4-seater convertible reminiscent of the 220-280SE convertibles of the 1960’s. In 2000, the V-8 version of the car was introduced, now reminiscent of the “3.5” V-8 cabriolet offered in 1971 (now very collectible and worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.) The standard CLK was offered with a 215 horsepower V-6 engine, but the new CLK-430 version was powered by a 4.3 litre cast aluminum, fuel-injected V-8 engine offering 275 h.p. with a 0-60 mph acceleration time of just over 6 seconds. These cars came with a 5-speed “touch-shift” automatic transmission which allows manual or automatic shifting. The 430’s also came with 17” alloy monoblock AMG wheels with Z-rated high-speed tires, dual-zone air conditioning, full leather interior, power 10-way adjustable bucket seats with memories, power top with glass rear window and electric rear window defogger, twin front and side airbags, 4-wheel ABS power ventilated disc brakes, anti-roll bar suspension, etc. are all in place on this luxury convertible. Our car originally came from Texas and was brought to New Jersey by its Texas owner who had purchased the car as a Mercedes-Benz “Certified” car in Texas prior to moving to New Jersey in 2010, the car then with @62,000 miles. It was then sold to its multiple Mercedes-Benz-owning Watchung owner later that year with @68,000 miles and used as a sunny-day driver, being driven @1,000 miles per year since his purchase. Finished in beautiful Magma red with light grey leather and black convertible top, the car is gorgeous and in near-new condition throughout. 77,476 miles.
