Description

Güle güle...Off to Istanbul...Delivered new by Mattlaw Packard in Jersey City in November, 1928, this has been a local car ever since. It was owned for @30 years by John Wemple, a local classic car enthusiast and a founding member and former president of the Classic Car Club of America. A serious Packard collector, Mr. Wemple commissioned a full ground-up restoration by renowned Packard specialists, Hibernia Auto Restorations, in 1986. The car then won the highly competitive CCCA National First prize and has been driven 3,916 miles since then, remaining in fabulous and absolutely correct condition. Powered by its original eight cylinder engine, the “633” roadster has full classic status with the CCCA and is a beautiful design. Ours is fitted with rumbleseat (and external steps providing access,) twin side golf-bag doors, 20” disc wheels with twin sidemounts, Trippe lamps, original and rare “Sliding Boy” mascot, driver-side spotlight, grill guard, cowl lamps, wind wings, covered trunk, etc. This car drives beautifully and would be a wonderful tour car for any enthusiast, being welcome at any AACA, CCCA or Packard Club events.
