Just arrived to us from its Florida collection, this fabulous and quite rare 2-door, 4-seater convertible is finished in Sheridan Grey with dark red leather and black convertible top and boot, both piped in dark red. The interior is beautiful with its wood-grain dash board and ivory steering wheel with matching dashboard knobs and controls and door-mounted window cranks for the main and vent windows. Powered by Ford’s famous flat-head V-8 engine with twin exhaust and a 3-speed manual transmission, the 1941 Ford marked the introduction of the more “modern” body with the old style running boards almost disappearing under the doors. The distinctive and somewhat delicate tall grill with twin kidney-shaped lower grills on either side is protected by a tall chrome guard bearing the blue Ford script which matches that on the fully chrome hub caps and wheel covers. Our car is also equipped with the optional radio, heater and defroster, fog lamps, twin outside rear view mirrors and 16” wheels with original width white wall tires. This car received a body-off-chassis restoration in the 1990’s and has remained in fabulous condition throughout. If you saw the ads for the movie “Cider House Rules”, this was the car which was used in the promotional shots since it was a much finer example than the similar car actually used in the movie.
