All Porsche 911’s are growing in popularity on a daily basis; early air-cooled 911’s have become very collectible and desirable. Of that group, the very early short wheelbase (swb) cars, built from 1964 through 1968, have become amazingly so. In 1967, the very exciting and very expensive “911S” was introduced, immediately becoming an enthusiast’s delight then and an enthusiast’s and collector’s dream now. The 1967 “S” had a 20% increase in horsepower, was (and is) very exciting to drive and has attained almost mythical and mystical status.
In its relatively small group of 1967 911’s, Porsche offered a factory sunroof to a few enthusiasts willing to pay the price.
These factory s/r, swb, “S” cars are pretty much like hens’ teeth to find, and we are proud to offer an absolutely pristine example, the result of a nut-and-bolt restoration. Accompanied by its original “COA” showing the car to having been born in yellow with black interior—as it is now. This also documents that the car is a true 911 S and was factory-built with a sliding steel sunroof.
This is a rare opportunity to own an amazing piece of automotive history!
