1969 MERCEDES-BENZ 280SL COUPE/ROADSTER #113.044012010836. (Stock #4134) The 280SL was the last of the highly desirable “Pagoda Roof” SL series which ran from the 1964 230SL through the 1971 280SL. These cars are becoming increasingly popular due to their classic style, 2.8L, fuel-injected 6-cylinder engines and the available options of 4-speed automatic transmission with floor shift, air conditioning, tinted glass and shaded windscreen, both detachable hard top and fold-away convertible top, chrome bumper overriders, individual driver and passenger heater controls and the top-of-the-line Becker "Mexico” signal seeking AM-FM/cassette stereo. Equipped with all of these options, our car is beautiful in original Signal Red (body and hard top) with excellent original black interior and convertible top and factory chrome bumperettes. We first purchased the car 21 years ago, with 83,993 miles, from its long-time local owner who had originally purchased it from Benzel-Busch Mercedes-Benz. We then sold the car to a local repeat customer who enjoyed the car for almost 20 years before returning it, and his Jaguar, to us.
