1931 FORD MODEL ”A” RUMBLE SEAT COUPE # A3556262. (Stock #4129.) The Model T Ford was one of the most popular cars of all time and was succeeded in 1928 by the immensely popular and much more “modern” Model A. The Model A was capable of highway speeds, was powered by a 200 cubic inch 4-cylinder engine and a 3-speed floor-mounted manual transmission. It was available in a conservative 4-door sedan (the "Fordor) or the 2-door sedan (“Tudor”), station wagon, depot hack, pick-up truck, convertible or the very sporty "rumble seat” coupe (two passengers inside, two in the rear fold-away rumble seat.) Ours is of the later variety and 1931 was the final year of production. The car has been beautifully restored in black with a thin red carriage line. With the rumble seat, and fender steps leading up into it, in the rear and an opening windscreen to the front, the car makes a great appearance and lends itself to entertaining excursions for driver and passengers. We purchased the car from a local enthusiast who often used the car in local Independence Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day parades with the car never failing to proceed during his 10 years of ownership. A great deal of fun to be had with a car which everyone seems to love and appreciate.SOLD!
