1961 BENTLEY S-II SALOON #B210LCU. (Stock
#4058.) The S-II Bentley was built from 1959 until 1962 and
featured a 6.2 litre, V-8 engine with a 4-speed automatic
transmission. Just 2,308 saloons were built, in right-hand-drive and
left-hand drive, for world-wide consumption. This is a left-hand
drive car built to American specifications but delivered new to Sr.
Ignacio Cece in Salamanca, Spain. Following @8 years with his
ownership, the car was sold, remaining in Spain under the
ownership Dr. Maria Viches-Benitez of Madrid. In 1973, the car
was sold, remaining in Madrid, to Neil Jeffrey Merlis, M.D. The car
finally reached its original appointed destination of the United
States when purchased in 1976 by John Accera of Brookville, New
York. In 1994, the car moved to the West Coast when purchased by
George Evanson of Ellensburg, Washington who kept the car for 16
years before selling it to Lee Zuker of Scottsdale, Arizona where it
was held in the family trust. The car was delivered new in Mason’s
Black over sand with a single carriage line in Brick Red and an
interior in beige hide with Fawn carpet and matching headliner.
Although repainted once @25 years ago, the car remains in that
exact color combination with original leather and carpets still in
place. The car still has its original “His Master’s Voice” radio, a full
complement of tools including large and small, original owner’s
manual, original showroom brochure, featuring an S II in identical
colors, original build sheets and a thick volume of service records
and notes dating back to its years in Spain. It is fitted with power
steering and brakes, electric windows and rear defogger, air
conditioning, rear-seat folding picnic tables and front sliding
beverage tray as well as rear compartment lighted vanity mirrors
and many other luxury accoutrements. The interior wood work is
magnificent and near-flawless and the car drives beautifully. Total
