1979 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible

(Stock #4263.) This is an example of the last year of the American Beetle convertible, which had been in production since the early 1950’s. The 1979 Beetle came with an advanced electric, fuel injected, air-cooled 1600 cc 4-cylinder engine with a 4-speed manual transmission, as well as an advanced dual circuit braking system and independent front and rear suspensions. Top speed of this Beetle is 82 mph and is capable of any highway speeds. Our car was ordered in very rare, but factory original, turquoise color with original black interior, black convertible top, and black top boot. The exterior of the car was repainted once many years ago in its original color. Sold new in Inwood, Long Island and sold four years later to our local customer with just 14,600 miles, the car has had a very pampered life. We have recently purchased the car from that owner’s estate with 60,328 miles. Service records and all original manuals accompany the car and it has just been completely serviced in our shop. 60,351 miles. SOLD!
