1982 MERCEDES-BENZ 300SD TURBODIESEL SEDAN #WDBCB20AXCB026902. (Stock #4071.) The “W-126” series turbo-diesel is well-known as one of the world’s cars with the greatest longevity. Owners reporting these cars with mileages approaching or exceeding 500,000 miles are common and, when cared-for properly, the cars seem to be virtually indestructible. As well as being extraordinarily durable, the cars are luxurious, comfortable and efficient. They are 2-ton, 5-passenger luxury cars which, when ordered with the renowned 5-cylinder turbo-charged diesel engine and 4-speed automatic transmission, can deliver 30+ mpg. They are aerodynamically cleaner, due to wind-tunnel design, than earlier cars and much less complicated than later cars.
