1986 MERCEDES-BENZ 560SL COUPE/ROADSTER #WDBBA48D4GA041884. (Stock #4244). The fabulous "107" body style was introduced in 1971 and underwent many iterations during its 19 year run., ending with the 560SL, built from 1986 through 1989. The final form--the 560SL—was powered by the incredibly strong, twin timing chain, 5.6 litre, fuel-injected “V-8” engine which lent very impressive performance to the car. With both convertible top and a detachable hard top, the car was also equipped with climate control, cruise control, electric windows, locks and antenna, twin outside rear-view mirrors, leather seats, 15”factory alloy wheels, driver air bag, fog lamps and its original top-of-the-line Becker “Grand Prix” stereo system. Finished in beautiful original Signal Red (body and hard top) with sumptuous original Palomino leather and beautiful tobacco brown convertible top. Our car is one of those very rare finds which arises every once-in-a-while in our area—a very low mileage, 100% original and pristine “SL” with full provenance since new. We purchased the car from its original Maryland owner in 1999, then with 36,209 miles, and sold it locally (Peapack). Then 18 years and @8,000 miles later, we repurchased the car from the estate of that owner and sold it to another local (Summit) family from whom we have just repurchased the car. It has been driven an additional 7,000 in those 5 years. . It is complete with original manuals, tools and factory first aid kit, as well as a custom car cover and mobile hard-top storage rack. The car has never had any paintwork or damage and has been carefully kept in marvelous condition throughout. 51,276 miles.
