The “E28” Series BMW, built from 1981 through 1988, was a true mix of a great German family car and a true enthusiast’s car. There were many iterations of the car, but the one that stands out, high above the many variants, is the one offered by Alpina–the “Alpina B7 Turbo.” 278 of these cars were built between 1984 and 1987 and they represent the Holy Grail of 1980’s BMW’s.
