1995 MERCEDES-BENZ E320
CABRIOLET #WDBEA66E5SC249130.
(Stock #4022.) Mercedes-Benz stopped building their luxury 2-door, 4-seater
convertible in 1971. These fabulous automobiles sold new for $15,000; nice
examples today of that last year of production will bring $300,000. In 1983,
Mercedes-Benz again built a luxury 2-door, 4-seater convertible. These cars,
priced then at @$80,000, quickly gained a reputation as extremely high
quality luxury convertibles which could be driven in great comfort and style
for hundreds of thousands of miles. They were very handsome cars, extremely
comfortable and with good performance from a 3.2 litre, twin overhead cam,
6-cylinder engine and 4-speed automatic transmission. The last year of
production of these wonderful E-320 cabriolets was 1995. Our car, beautiful
in original Imperial Red with Oyster leather interior, walnut trim and a black
convertible top, is a very late example of the last year of production and is
loaded with luxury and safety equipment. Luxury equipment includes a fully
automatic top, electric: windows, seats (10-way adjustable), outside rear-
view mirrors, heated windshield washer system, 2-position memory for driver
seat and steering column, climate control, cruise control, automatic AM/FM
stereo radio with cassette player and active bass system, central locking
system, anti-theft alarm system, 15” aluminum alloy wheels, etc. Safety
equipment includes twin airbags, pop-up roll bar with integrated head
restraints, halogen headlamps, front and rear fog lamps, headlamp washers
and wipers, 4-wheel ABS power disc brakes, height-adjustable shoulder belts
with emergency tensioning retractors, reinforced cabin with front and rear
crumple zones, anti-theft alarm system, etc. The car was sold new in Texas
and purchased by a local (Saddle River) family six years ago, then with just
over 50,000 miles, from Benzel Busch Mercedes-Benz. It has been carefully
driven @15,000 miles in those 6 years, is completely original and is in superb
condition throughout. 65,529 miles.
