1997 BMW 328i CONVERTIBLE # WBABK8325VET99722. (Stock #4198.) The "E-36” BMW is becoming more and more interesting to collectors and enthusiasts. Built from 1991 through 1999, it has a charm all of its own and, following the lead of other 3-Series BMW's as they age, has been gaining in popularity and value over the past several years. The 328 is powered by a 2.8 litre, fuel-injected, 24-valve, 6-cylinder engine producing 190 horsepower and providing 0-60 mph acceleration time of 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 147 miles per hour. Braking is accomplished with 4-wheel vented discs behind 16" factory alloy wheels, and the McPherson strut front end, combined with a multi-link live rear end, gives the car very stable and sporty handling. With a vintage look, the car is still recent enough to have twin front airbags, electric: convertible top, windows, locks, seats (also heated), etc..Our car was driven @ 73,000 miles with its original owner during its first 10 years on the road, prior to being purchased by The Stable. We then sold the car to a many-car repeat customer in Atlantic Highlands.. He drove the car for 4 years and @20,000 miles before trading the car into us, then with @95,000 miles on a Rolls Royce. At that time, we sold the car to another many car, many year, local customer who sent it to his home in Vermont for summer touring. He lavished care on the car for 8 years and @ 10,000 miles there. He has now retired, sold his Vermont home and traded his BMW 328i convertible back to us, replacing it with a BMW 428i coupe. Finished in “Triple Black” (body, leather and top), the car is in as nice condition now as it was when we purchased it from its original owner 15 years ago.
