The Solstice was an immediate hit in the car market with 7,000 units sold within its first 10 days of being released, and an additional 6,000 being ordered in early 2006. It is a true American sports car, powered by a 2.4 litre fuel injected inline 4-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, which produces 177 horsepower with a top speed of 123 mph, and a 0-60 mph acceleration of 7.5 seconds.
