This 1955 Buick Roadmaster convertible is said to have been delivered new to Springfield Buick Company of Springfield, Massachusetts, and remained with its original owner until 1977. The current owner acquired the car in 2009. Repainted in white over a reupholstered red leather interior, the vehicle is powered by a 322ci Nailhead V8 paired with a Dynaflow automatic transmission. Features include a power-operated black convertible top, a red top boot, fender-mounted Ventiports, red-painted 15″ steel wheels, Buick-branded wheel covers, whitewall tires, power steering, power brakes, power windows, a power-adjustable front seat, and a Sonomatic AM radio. This Roadmaster is now offered on dealer consignment in New Jersey with manufacturer’s literature and a clean Maryland title.
Finished from the factory in Dover White with a black convertible top (1BB), the car reportedly has been repainted. Features include a hood ornament, fender-mounted Ventiports, dual sideview mirrors, Sweepspear body-side trim, tail fins, reverse lights, chrome bumpers, and a red top boot. Red-painted 15″ steel wheels wear Buick-branded covers and are mounted with whitewall tires; a spare is found in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering and power brakes. The bench seating surfaces have been reupholstered in red leather, and the front seat is power adjustable. A Sonomatic AM radio is located in the dashboard. Other interior appointments include a red dashboard, red carpeting, black floor mats, bright trim, power windows, a clock, a heater, a glovebox, and rear-seat robe cords. The three-spoke steering wheel has a full horn ring and fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges monitoring coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 84k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership.
