1970 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS CONVERTIBLE #342670M215140. (Stock #3817.) Introduced in 1961 as a new compact model in Oldsmobile’s line-up, the Cutlass soon became a popular intermediate-size car and became available in sedan, coupe, station wagon and convertible body-styles. In 1968, the third generation Cutlass was introduced and was a very handsome and desirable model. In 1970, the body was thoughtfully updated and then remained virtually unchanged until 1973. Our convertible was purchased from its original owner in the 1990’s by a local (Far Hills) enthusiast/customer and restored as a gift for his daughter. Finished in beautiful red with excellent dark saddle interior and tan convertible top, the car was fully restored at that time. It is equipped with front bucket seats, center console with arm rest and storage compartment, an automatic transmission with floor shift, electric convertible top, an upgraded AM-FM/cassette stereo and rallye wheels with period-correct raised white letter tires. Powered by the fabulous 350 “Rocket” engine, the car is dressed in “442” trim and badging. Driven fewer than 10,000 miles since its restoration. 137,290 miles. $28,500.
