1955 BUICK ROADMASTER CONVERTIBLE. #7B7034733. (Stock #4305.) 1955 was a magic year for American automakers and Buick was an active participant. The year saw the introduction of a new body style for Buick and the Roadmaster was the top-of-the-line luxury offering. The convertible was an extremely sleek and handsome design with a most luxurious interior and the period-perfect “Dagmar” bumpers. With the new 332 cubic inch “Fireball” V-8 engine and the “Dynaflow” automatic transmission, the 4,300 pound convertible had plenty of power with good acceleration and could cruise very comfortably at any highway speed. The Roadmaster could instantly be differentiated from the rest of the pack by the four “ventiports” built into each front fender and the gold “bombsight” hood ornament and deck script. This was to be the last year for the post-war bombsight ornament. Our car was ordered with power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seat, power top. and original “Sonomatic” AM radio. Finished in gleaming Dover White on an amazingly straight body with gorgeous dark red leather interior, contrasting black convertible top and interior-matching dark red convertible top boot. The car is strikingly handsome. 84,324 miles. $74,500.
