1964 OLDSMOBILE F-85 CUTLASS “442” CONVERTIBLE #824F012631. (Stock #4437.) The F-85 was introduced by Oldsmobile in 1961, powered by a 215 cubic inch 6-cylinder engine. In 1964, the larger 2nd generation body-on-frame F-85 was offered with the Cutlass being the top-tier version. Engine options were now upgraded to a V-6 and a new 330 cubic inch V-8 engine. Although the soon-to-be famous true “442” model was not yet offered, “442” badging was available on the Cutlass with a 330 cubic inch V-8 engine with 4-barrel carburetor, the rare 4-speed floor shift transmission and dual exhaust system. Our car is so-equipped along with a center console, front bucket seats, console-mounted tachometer, rally wheels with beauty rings with red line radial tires, power top, power steering, power brakes, etc. Finished in gorgeous “Saddle Mist” with black convertible top and interior, our car received a body-off-chassis restoration in 2016, and is delightful both in appearance and performance. The engine bay is beautiful, housing its nicely detailed and very strong driving engine with a beautiful-shifting 4-speed, floor shift manual transmission. A local fellow had replaced his vintage Porsche with this Cutlass several years ago and has now traded the Cutlass in to us to purchase another lovely vintage Porsche. 39,989 miles. $32,000.
