1965 Buick Skylark Convertible. #444675H120165.
(Stock #4257.) Mid 1960’s Skylarks are handsome and desirable cars with 1965 having many individual 1-year touches thought by many to be the most attractive. The Skylark was offered in sedan, coupe and convertible forms with convertibles being relatively difficult to find. Some were offered with the “Wildcat 310 V-8” engine and very few were offered with a 4-speed, floor-mounted manual transmission and front bucket seats. Our car is one of those very few and was additionally optioned with power steering, power top, AM radio, and “knock-off” wheel covers. The car has had just one owner since new and was ordered in a light blue-green color. It was repainted in the same color decades ago and someone would probably wish to do so again. The power convertible top is black as is the interior. The car is in need of new seat covers, currently being completely original and very well-worn. All original owner’s manuals are present as well as a second set of keys. Locating a 4-speed, “Wildcat” powered Skylark, especially a one-owner example with power steering and power top would be a serious challenge. The car drives beautifully and feels and sounds similar to another GM muscle car of the era, the Pontiac GTO. The odometer reading is 2,001—obviously not the first time around for the 5-digit odometer. $17,800.
