1960 PEUGEOT”403” SUNROOF SEDAN # 4032383227-5 . (Stock #4467.) The “403” Peugeot was the French “sport sedan” of its day. Designed by the Italian design house of Pinin Farina, it was built with a fully synchronized 4-speed manual transmission–years ahead of it British competition– which was connected to a straight 4-cylinder engine with hemispherical combustion chambers (hemi) and a cross-flow cylinder head, producing a whopping 65 horsepower and allowing a top speed of 85 miles per hour and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 20.5 seconds. A 403, driven by Roger Delageneste, ran in the Mille Miglia, finishing, and placing 65th. The plush interior featured fully reclining front seats and the car was offered with an optional large sliding sunroof–rare, but present in our car. The lion, Peugeot's famous trademark, is prominently displayed on this 66 year old car and the car is in absolutely pristine in every respect. The odometer reading: is 11,037–probably since the car was restored. $23,000.
