1971 TRIUMPH TR-6 ROADSTER #CC63670L. (Stock # 4170.) The 2.5 litre, twin carburetor, 6-cylinder engine in the TR-6 was a major departure from prior Triumphs, and provided a 0-60 acceleration time of 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 120 miles per hour. Although similarities in the Karmann body design may be seen with the prior TR-4, the TR-6 is distinctively different and handsome. Our car is gorgeous in its original blue-green color, beautifully contrasting its tan interior. The Triumph came from a regular customer of ours, an M.D. in Doylestown, Pa. who, following 20 years of careful ownership of the car, decided to purchase our fabulous 1962 Corvette “fuelie” roadster to share his garage with the magnificent Rolls-Royce Corniche convertible which we sold him many years ago. ThusThe Triumph was regularly maintained by a Triumph specialist in Pennsylvania who, within the past 1000 miles, performed a full engine rebuild on the car. Consequently, the car drives beautifully with a very strong engine and a gearbox and clutch which are silky-smooth. A new convertible top has also recently been installed on the car. The car is capable of driving at highway speeds or enjoying back-roads “wind-in-the-hair” motoring. 95,785 miles.SOLD!
