1982 MERCEDES-BENZ 300D-TURBO SEDAN #WDBAB33A5CB015251. (Stock #4395 ). Mercedes-Benz built what just may be the most mechanically durable car ever built when the 240D and the 300D were introduced. The 300 was the more powerful of the two and, when they became turbocharged in 1982, they became more so. Not to say, however, that they will ever be thought of as a high-performance automobile, but they are quick enough for driving on modern roads with no issues–and they handle beautifully They are built to drive on for many hundreds of thousands of miles– there are many reports of 300 D’s traveling on for more than a million miles when well taken care of. We purchased our car from its original owner, a Morristown woman for whom this was her luxury personal car, being driven fewer than 5,000 miles per year. She purchased–and serviced–the car at Power’s Mercedes-Benz in Morristown and the car reflects her good care. We sold the car @ 35,000 miles ago to a local customer who needed an extra car for just a couple of years and this filled the bille for a completely reliable and comfortable cruiser. The chassis and undercarriage are extremely solid and the car drives, shifts handles and stops beautifully. The undercarriage is amazingly solid but there are some rust spots in the normal locations around the body which is completely original. The interior is also in excellent original condition and the electric windows, air conditioning, original stereo, electric sunroof, etc. are all in excellent working condition. With the easy life this car has enjoyed to date, it should is ready to be driven for the next hundreds of thousands more miles. 196,917 miles. $7,000.
