1995 JAGUAR XJS CONVERTIBLE. #SAJNX2347SC195397.
(Stock #4415.) The Jaguar XJS was introduced in 1975, just as the fabulous XKE had been retired from production. The XJS was an entirely new car, not a replacement for the XKE and has, in recent years, become appreciated for what it is–a truly luxurious, elegant, sporty and handsome 4-seater car. In convertible form and fitted with the Jaguar fuel injected V-12 engine, the car really is in a class by itself and is becoming recognized as such. It was the last model which was truly designed and built by Jaguar prior to Ford's purchase of the company. Our car is 100% original, except for a new–as original– convertible top, in beautiful British Racing Green with amazingly fine Parchment leather, piped in saddle brown, fabulous polished walnut console and interior woodwork and tan convertible top with Parchment leather top boot. XJS’s came in either 6-cylinder or 12-cylinder form and as coupes or convertibles. At the very end of the 20-year production run, and just before the company was purchased by Ford, Jaguar offered a 6.0 liter, V-12 engine in just 160 cars. Our car is one of those very rare and highly desirable cars. We purchased this car from its original owner in 1999 and sold it locally. Mileage at that time was @26,000. That owner kept the car in a heated garage for 24 years, driving it fewer than 1,000 miles per year. We repurchased the car back from his estate in 2023, then with @45,000 miles. We sold the car at that time to a Western Pennsylvania enthusiast who later moved into a retirement home with limited garage space and we have once again repurchased this great car. Our Jaguar is in magnificent original condition and is most impressive to drive. Current mileage: 46,239. $38,000.
