2002 BMW 525i “TOURING” SPORT WAGON #WDABS33492GD50362. (Stock #4420.) BMW 6-cylinder cars of the 1980’s, 1990’s and early 2000’s are known to be amazingly reliable, durable and trouble-free for hundreds of 100’s of thousands of miles. It is quite rare to find one in wagon form. Our’s is a rare 5-Series wagon, even more rare in lovely and rare in the lovely combination of “Topaz Blue” with Sand leather. The real rarity, however, is to find such a car which was ordered with a manual 5-speed floor shift–and with one owner and driver since new. This is that car, ordered by a local enthusiast who has driven the car for 23 years. He has saved all of the original manuals, along with the two thick shop manuals which he purchased from BMW when he purchased this car new, as well as the original sale invoice, factory brochure and associated paperwork. He has kept the car completely original except for the addition of a Pioneer AM-FM/CD stereo system and a full set of custom “WeatherTech” floor mats. Upon our purchase of the car, we installed a new clutch and mechanically serviced the car. It is most enjoyable to drive, feels very quick with its 5-speed manual shift and has an amazing amount of usable interior space. The high level of maintenance, to which this car has been treated by its enthusiast/owner, is evident throughout and the second owner of this car can ook forward to its next 23 years. There is a small rust spot on the left rear quarter panel and another on the tail gate; otherwise the car is in excellent condition inside and out and drives amazingly well. 153,169 miles. $12,000.
