In 1998, BMW caused a sensation in the motoring world with the introduction of the “Z8” roadster, a worthy successor to the “507” of the late 1950’s and early ‘60’s. The engine was the same as the fabulous “M5” but in a lighter body built on an all-aluminum frame, and is mated to a Performance is quite electrifying, the car is amazingly comfortable and luxurious and absolutely beautiful to behold. the car is electronically limited to 155 miles per hour and has a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 4.7 seconds. It was introduced as James Bond’s car in the 1998 classic, “The World Is Not Enough” and almost immediately climbed in value and continues to do so, following the course of the fabled “507” with a value which has now climbed into the millions of dollars. Accordingly, our Z8 was purchased new as an investment and driven just 200 miles in its first 2 and ½ years, then again as an investment, being driven another 200 miles in 2 years. It was then sold to an owner of 5 years who also treated it as the rare collector car which it is but actually drove the car @5,000 miles in his 5 years of ownership.  Then, in 2010, the car was sold to a true car enthusiast whose collection included some of the world’s most valuable automotive models. . He had purchased and rebuilt Virginia International Raceway (VIR), knew (and knows) his racing, vintage and collector's cars intimately and wished to find the nicest Z8 available for his wife.  He found this car in beautiful deep red and immediately purchased it in 2010, then with just over 5,000 miles.
