2004 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA
CABRIOLET #WPOCA29904S852201.
(Stock #3823.) The Porsche Carrera changed a bit in 2002 to more
closely resemble the turbo model. The rear hips got wider and, in
2004, there were some aerodynamic changes to the body which also
make the car look more aggressive. The 3.6 litre, normally aspirated
6-cylinder engine provides impressive power (0-60 mph in 4.8
seconds, 177 mph top speed) and, when coupled to the very precise
6-speed manual transmission, the car has fabulous performance and
control. Safety features include front, side and head airbags, an
automatic roll bar hidden behind the rear seats and front and rear
driving lamps while luxury touches include optional 18” factory
alloy wheels (ours with Continental Extreme Contact high-speed
radials), remote keyless entry, telescopic steering wheel, factory
CD stereo system, heated leather seats, heated mirrors, etc. In the
case of the great-looking cabriolet, the insulated convertible top is
fully automatic and completes its operation in 20 seconds. Our car
was ordered in the desirable combination of “triple black” (body,
interior and top) and is accompanied by every original manual and
tool as well as all original delivery paperwork and service history.
We were able to purchase the car from its original local owner who
kept it in absolutely new condition throughout from the date of her
purchase, July 29, 2004, until we purchased the car from her, then
with 23,305 miles, on December 22, 2016. She averaged almost
exactly 2,000 miles per year. We then sold the car to a local
(Mendham) enthusiast who continued to average almost exactly
2,000 miles per year. This fabulous car can actually almost pass as
showroom new. 25,501 miles.
