1966 FORD MUSTANG GT “K-CODE” HIGH
PERFORMANCE COUPE #6T07K284992.
(Stock #3855.) In 1964, Ford introduced what was to become
an amazingly popular class of cars—“Pony Cars” –and
initiated a heritage which remains extremely popular today.
With a beautiful and refreshing design, the Mustang was
available with a myriad of accessories and options. Engines
ranged from a 6-cylinder version, through three variants of
the V-8, producing 200 horsepower with a 2-barrell
carburetor, 225 with a 4-barrell and 271 with the rare high-
performance “K-Code” engine. Other options included the
“GT” package with GT badging, twin trumpet exhausts,
front fog lamps and distinctive side stripes, automatic
transmission with floor shift, styled wheels, “Rallye-Pac”
steering column-mounted tachometer and rallye clock, a
handsome front center console and a deluxe “Pony
Interior.” Our car is factory-equipped with all of these
options and is finished in beautiful “Night-Mist Blue” with a
blue and white Pony interior. With all matching numbers
and fabulous equipment, our car was fully restored to
factory specifications 10 years ago by a New Jersey specialist
in Cobras and Mustangs and, in 2011, we sold the car to a
world-renowned Florida collector who presented it to his
wife as a birthday gift. This beautiful and rare car is now
available again for the first time since 2011. 85,103 miles.
