1988 ROLLS-ROYCE SILVER SPUR SALOON. #SCAZN02A7JCX22054.
(Stock #4377.) In 1980, Rolls Royce announced the end of assembly of the venerable “Silver Shadow” saloon, which had been offered since 1965, and the introduction of the completely new “Silver Spirit”. Shortly thereafter, the longer wheelbase “Silver Spur” was brought on board, offering more room to the rear compartment and a more formal roof line, distinguished by the “Everflex” padded roof. Over the years subtle improvements were made to the Silver Spur, but the car remained visually the same. Our Silver Spur is most elegant in Mason’s Black with Cream leather piped in black, tan Wilton wool carpets and gorgeous polished walnut facia and interior trim. Rear compartment passengers are pampered with matching polished walnut picnic trays, lighted walnut vanity mirrors to each rear corner and carpeted foot rests, along with a center folding armrest. The car was sold new to a Rumson, New Jersey owner, wintering in Jupiter, Florida, before moving, with its original owner, to Bernardsville, NJ in 1996 and eventually to Neshanic Station, NJ prior to selling the car to The Stable in 2003, then with 25,402 miles. We then sold the car to a long-time customer who, during his 21 years of ownership, drove the car fewer than 1,000 miles per year. The car remains in 100% original condition and is most elegant in its black livery. It is every bit as nice and in near-new condition now as it was when we sold the car 21 years ago with 25,403 miles. Current mileage: 39,141. Price $36,000.
