    Description

    2002 ROLLS-ROYCE CORNICHE V CONVERTIBLE #SCAZK29E52CX02027

Stock #4178). In 2000, the very exclusive and very expensive ($359,900 plus a luxury tax of  $16,100) Corniche V was introduced. Based on the same theme as  earlier  Corniches,, but with an entirely new design, this was the fifth -–and last—series of the fabulous Corniche to be built. It was the most expensive vehicle offered by Rolls-Royce, and with a coach built  body designed by Pininfarina, it represented the last of  the hand-built cars built at the Rolls-Royce works in Crewe, England. 2002 was, in fact, the last year of production of this historically important Rolls-Royce. A total of 374 of these exquisite cars was  built The car is powered by the same basic 6.75 litre, V-8 engine as the earlier series of the Corniche, but the new car’s engine was now turbocharged,  producing  544 lb-ft of torque and providing  a 0-60 mile per hour acceleration time of  6.5 seconds and top speed for the almost 3&1/2 ton  car of 135 miles per hour.  Our car is finished in gorgeous  and virtually unmarked  “Silver Tempest”  with flawless Ivory leather  interior and “French Navy Blue”  accents.. The leather-matching carpets are covered by Mouton  carpet overlays and the convertible top. matches the French  Navy Blue  dash roll,  interior trim and steering wheel  The car reflects exceptional care and limited use over the years and remains in pristine condition throughout. It has been  driven to and shown three times, winning a “First In Class” at  The Lake Erie British Car Club’s Annual Meet,  a “Best of Show” at the “Motor Region -- Rolls-Royce Owners  Club”  Annual Meet  and   the “Special Recognition Award at The Asheville, North Carolina National Rolls-Royce Owner’s Club Annual Meet. Original manuals and tools are present as is and the obligatory pair of  factory umbrellas which remains clipped in place in the boot of the car. This is a pristine, multi-show winning example of the most desirable, last-year-of -production  Corniche V.  The car’s Ohio enthusiast/owner drove the car to us from Ohio. The car drives flawlessly  and  can almost pass as a new car.  Current mileage is 22,559 and it is  priced  at less than 1/3 of the car’s  $373.090 cost  when new.  SOLD!
