Stock #4178). In 2000, the very exclusive and very expensive ($359,900 plus a luxury tax of $16,100) Corniche V was introduced. Based on the same theme as earlier Corniches,, but with an entirely new design, this was the fifth -–and last—series of the fabulous Corniche to be built. It was the most expensive vehicle offered by Rolls-Royce, and with a coach built body designed by Pininfarina, it represented the last of the hand-built cars built at the Rolls-Royce works in Crewe, England. 2002 was, in fact, the last year of production of this historically important Rolls-Royce. A total of 374 of these exquisite cars was built The car is powered by the same basic 6.75 litre, V-8 engine as the earlier series of the Corniche, but the new car’s engine was now turbocharged, producing 544 lb-ft of torque and providing a 0-60 mile per hour acceleration time of 6.5 seconds and top speed for the almost 3&1/2 ton car of 135 miles per hour.
