2009 MERCEDES-BENZ SL-500 “SILVER ARROW” HARDTOP ROADSTER #WDBSK71F19F142787.
(Stock # 4247.) 2009 was the first year of the new body style of the acclaimed SL-550. For the introduction of the new car, Mercedes-Benz offered a tribute to the amazing “Silver Arrow” race cars of the 1930’s. This is one of the just 550 examples which they built. Its new aggressive styling—from the “power domes” on the hood and new front air dam to the sport exhaust--was matched by the performance from its 382 horsepower, 4.4 litre V-8 engine and 7 speed, manually shiftable, automatic transmission—0-60 mph acceleration in 4.4 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 155 miles per hour. With its Active Body Control (ABC), Electronic Stability Control (ESP), active suspension, Xenon headlamps, adaptive cruise control, big 4-wheel ABS brakes, 19” AMG alloy wheels plus all equipment featured on the “standard” SL-500, , the car is not only very fast but handles very nicely. The Silver Arrows were painted a special silver paint, not offered on any other cars, and our car has a beautiful dark Sienna Red leather interior with Designo Black Lacquer trim, “Keyless –Go”, Panorama roof with sunshade, multi-contour seats for driver and passenger, “airscarf” ventilated headrests and seats, illuminated door sills and Parktronic, electric trunk lid closing, along with, of course, special edition badging. The fabulous stereo system is fitted for Bluetooth integration, and the electronically operated retractable hard top incorporates a striking Panorama retractable roof. Our car was sold new in Beverly Hills, California and remained in California until being brought east by one of our local customers with 51,000 miles. He later replaced the car with a McLaren roadster and we sold the car to another local (Mountain Lakes) repeat customer who loved and pampered the car for @5,000 miles, just replacing it with a Bentley Azure convertible. Spectacular throughout. 57,549 miles. SOLD!.
