1995 JAGUAR XJS-V/12 CONVERTIBLE. #SAJNX2344SC195650. (Stock #4174.)
The Jaguar XJS was introduced in 1975, just as the fabulous XKE had been retired from production. The XJS was an entirely new car, not a replacement for the XKE and has, in recent years, become appreciated for what it is--a truly luxurious, elegant, fast, sporty and handsome 4-seater car. In convertible form and fitted with the Jaguar fuel injected V-12 engine, the car really is in a class by itself and is becoming recognized as such. It was the last model which was truly designed and built by Jaguar prior to Ford's purchase of the company. Late in the XJS production run, two batches of fewer than 80 cars each were built with a fabulous 6-litre V-12 engine. Our car is one of those rare and special cars. It came to us from a local man who inherited both of his parents' Jaguars last year. Both were garaged every winter and kept off of the road whenever rain was predicted. As a result, this car is 100% original--in appropriate and beautiful British Racing Green with amazing fine Parchment leather, piped in saddle brown, fabulous polished walnut console and interior woodwork and tan convertible top with Parchment leather top boot. The car is accompanied by all original manuals (both cases), tools, service records, showroom brochure and a hand written log book documenting every detail of the car's history since 1998. It has been driven just 38,485 miles, is spectacular inside and out and drives as new. SOLD!
