1966 CHEVROLET CORVETTE “STINGRAY” 427 “BIG BLOCK” COUPE. #194376S107053. (Stock #4294.) 1966 was intended to be the final year of production of the fabulous “Sting Ray” and, as such, was offered with the optional new “Big Block” 427 cubic inch engine. The most expensive option which could be ordered on the car was factory air conditioning and fewer than ⅓ of all 1966 Corvette coupes were built with that option. Fewer still were built with that option and power steering. With the 427 engine, 4-speed manual transmission and that combination of options, the car is extremely powerful and quick but also very driveable and comfortable. A leather interior, “Soft Ray” tinted glass, power windows, power brakes, cast 15” aluminum “knock-off” wheels, a teak steering wheel, “Gold Wall” radial tires and a factory AM-FM radio complete the desirable option which our car offers. It is finished in factory “Rally Red” with a darker red interior. It has won a “Top Flight Award” and is in near-new condition throughout. A local enthusiast purchased the car 7 years ago from Hendrick Motorsports in North Carolina who had, in turn, purchased it from a man in Kentucky, home of the Corvette. Impeccable condition throughout and fabulous to drive! 63,166 miles. SOLD!
