1966 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible

1966 OLDSMOBILE "442" CONVERTIBLE #3P50325.(Stock #4151.). 

The Oldsmobile "442,” along with the Pontiac "GTO,” were GM's “muscle car” offerings which boosted the 1960's trend which continues today. . The 6442,” standing for a 400 cubic inch engine, a 4-barrell carburetor and dual exhausts, offered very impressive performance for its time and its aggressive appearance underscored that performance. Our car is fitted with the performance package which supplied three 2-barrel carburetion instead of the standard single four barrel carb., and boosted the horsepower to 350 at 5000 rpm. The 4-speed, floor-shift manual transmission is a Muncie M21 unit with a factory Hurst shifter. The car is a result of an older body-off chassis restoration and is beautiful in Lucerne Blue with an excellent blue bucket seat interior and matching power top. The factory 14” chrome styled wheels wear Firestone Wide Oval tires with period correct red stripes. It is difficult to find a correct and unaltered 442, and this is a very nice one.
